Self-Referenced NDVI Baselines for Grazing Decisions
Nominated for the Mitacs Innovation Award. Two questions decide a rotation: is there still grass where the herd is standing, and which paddock does it move to next. Training a forage model normally needs ground-truth biomass — the one thing the industry cannot collect at scale — so this method needs none. Every 10 m square is judged against its own NDVI history instead of against a model fitted on someone else's field.

Reference-Free Nominal Voltage Estimation from Smart-Meter Data
This research finds the nominal voltage of each smart-meter signal, meaning the voltage its circuit is designed to run at, using only the meter readings and no lookup table of standard values. Meters only collect signals and don't report the nominal voltage, but power-quality analysis needs it as a baseline. The proposed pipeline finds each signal's nominal voltage from raw meter data after removing unsteady, unbalanced and inconsistent signals. It was tested on 151,033 signals from 192 U.S. corporations and reached 99.995% accuracy on the 132,790 signals that passed screening. The main contribution of this research is finding the nominal voltage without relying on predefined references. The nominal voltage is also estimated from local data, so it reflects each site's own conditions and makes it possible to follow local behavior and how it changes over time.

Press a shortcut, find the file, check the real pages and export. Everything runs locally, and the source file is never changed.

Math Run — a Math Game You Play with a Pen
A 3D browser game where you handwrite the answers to math problems. A neural network I trained on MNIST reads your writing right in the browser, and the difficulty adapts, aiming for about 85% of problems right. No server and nothing to install.
